How it used to be
Ads were shown to all students by default, and to turn them off you had to purchase licenses. But we decided that there should be no ads at all for anyone learning in classes — whether with activated licenses or for free.
If there are no ads, then why are licenses needed?
From now on, we have the Ratatype Plus for Classes service. We've enabled all the benefits of Ratatype Plus for classes, while keeping favorable terms for teachers:
- unlimited learning
- the ability to turn on dark mode
- an additional Dino character
- faster page loading.
In other words, before you used to turn off ads, and now you'll turn off exercise limits (the free version has a limit of 10 exercises).
At the same time, Ratatype Plus for Classes is much cheaper than Plus for individual users, and the more licenses you buy, the bigger the discount.
